Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets out how user information is handled in "binta" (the "App"). The developer (the "Developer") handles user information appropriately in accordance with this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information stored on your device

  • The goal you set, the text of the scenes you imagine, notification settings (tone, interval, quiet hours, etc.), theme settings, and your "words to yourself."
  • The record of "things you could skip" logged when you answer a notification (content, feeling, timestamp).

All of the above is stored only on your device and is never sent to the Developer's servers. The App does not ask you to enter personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or email address.

1.2 Purchase information

  • In-app purchases (subscriptions) are processed by Apple (App Store), and purchase status is managed using RevenueCat. The Developer never holds payment information such as credit card numbers.
  • To manage purchase status, an anonymous identifier tied to the purchase (a RevenueCat user ID) and the purchase/renewal state are used. These are not linked to personal information such as your name or email address.

1.3 Notifications

  • The App's notifications (the "slap") are local notifications on your device. Scheduling and display happen entirely on the device; no push notification token is sent to the Developer's servers.

1.4 Advertising

  • When you use the App for free, ads are shown through Google's ad service (Google AdMob).
  • For ad delivery, AdMob may obtain and use information such as device identifiers. In regions such as the EU/UK, consent is obtained via a Consent Management Platform (Google UMP) before ads are shown. This app does not request iOS App Tracking Transparency permission and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Ads are always served as non-personalized ads.
  • While you have binta Pro (a subscription), no ads are shown.
  • For how Google handles information, please see Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

1.5 Information we do NOT collect

  • The App does not access your location, contacts, or photos/media.
  • The App does not use third-party analytics tools that track behavior (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.). Handling of information for ads is described in "1.4 Advertising" above.

2. Purpose of Use

  • To provide and operate the App's features, such as goal reminders (notifications), recording and displaying scenes, and analyzing your record.
  • To provide in-app purchases and manage purchase status.
  • To show ads during free use.
  • To keep the App running reliably, address defects, prevent misuse, and improve quality and features.

3. Provision to Third Parties / External Services

Except as required by law, the Developer does not provide user information to third parties. However, to the extent necessary to provide and operate the App, the Developer entrusts the handling of information to the following external services, which may process information (including outside your country) to the extent necessary.

  • Apple (payment processing for in-app purchases)
  • RevenueCat (management of in-app purchases)
  • Google AdMob (ad delivery during free use)

4. GDPR and Overseas Laws

The App respects data protection laws of each country, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Data minimization: The App processes only the minimum information necessary to provide its functions, on the device, and does not collect personally identifiable information on external servers.
  • Data control: You can delete all app data stored on your device by uninstalling the App.
  • Lawful basis for purchase data: Processing related to purchase-status management is carried out to the extent necessary to provide the purchase/subscription service (performance of a contract).

5. Retention Period

Information stored on your device remains on the device while you use the App, or until you delete it or uninstall the App. Information related to purchase-status management is retained only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use.

6. Security Measures

The Developer takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of the information obtained, and to otherwise manage it safely.

7. Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion

You may request disclosure, correction, or deletion of your own information held by the Developer. We may ask you to verify your identity. Because the App does not usually obtain identifying information and most data is stored on your device, it may be difficult for the Developer to identify you; on-device data can be deleted by uninstalling the App.

8. Changes

The Developer may revise this Policy in response to changes in laws or the service. If there are material changes, we will notify you within the App or by a method the Developer deems appropriate.
