Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using "If-Then Record" (the "App"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. The Service

The App lets you list the cues (triggers) and actions you define, record and display them, view statistics, receive reminder notifications, and export and import your records. The App does not guarantee habit formation, goal achievement, health, or any other outcome.

2. Fees and Payment (In-App Purchases)

The App is free to use. The free plan displays ads and allows up to 2 chains. A paid plan is also available that unlocks additional features. All prices include tax and follow what is shown in the App Store.

  • If-Then Record Premium (monthly, auto-renewing): 300 JPY per month
  • If-Then Record Premium (annual, auto-renewing): 1,500 JPY per year
  • Prices in other regions are the local equivalents shown in the App Store.
  • The paid plan unlocks unlimited chains, the full statistics, and removes ads.
  • Reminders and the export/import of records are available on the free plan as well.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically and the renewal fee is charged unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • After purchase, you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal (cancel) from your App Store account settings.
  • Refunds are governed by Apple's terms and practices. The operator does not provide pro-rated refunds for the current period.

3. Important Note About Your Records

  • Your records are stored only on your device; there is no automatic cloud sync or backup. Records may be lost if you lose or damage your device, delete the App, or switch to a new device.
  • Please use the export feature in the App to take your own backups regularly, especially before changing devices.
  • The import feature replaces your current records with the imported contents. Please check before running it.

4. Conditions of Use

  • You use the App at your own responsibility.
  • You are responsible for providing the devices and network connectivity required to use the App.
  • The free plan displays ads. Please see the Privacy Policy for details on how ads are served.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Act in violation of law or public order and morals
  • Gain unauthorized access to, or place excessive load on, the App or related systems
  • Circumvent the App's usage limits, or modify, disassemble, or otherwise reverse engineer the App
  • Fraudulently display or click ads, or otherwise violate the terms of the advertising provider
  • Infringe the rights or interests of others
  • Engage in any conduct the operator deems inappropriate

6. Disclaimers

  • The operator makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of the App's content or features. The App does not guarantee habit formation or any other outcome, and the results of decisions and actions taken based on the App are your own.
  • To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from your use of the App.
  • The App may be changed, suspended, or discontinued without notice. The operator is not liable if the App cannot be used due to network conditions or device problems.
  • Your records are stored on your device. Data may be lost through loss or failure of the device or deletion of the App, and the operator is not responsible for preserving or restoring data.
  • Reminders are local notifications on your device and may not be delivered depending on your device settings or state. The operator does not guarantee notification delivery.

7. Intellectual Property

Copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights relating to the App belong to the operator or the rightful owner. You may not reproduce, modify, republish, or distribute them without the operator's permission.

8. Restrictions on Use

If you violate these Terms, the operator may take necessary measures such as suspending your use of the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

The operator may change these Terms when it deems necessary. The revised Terms take effect when posted on this page.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. In the event of a dispute concerning the App, the court having jurisdiction over the operator's location shall be the exclusive court of first instance.
